Swasraya Innovative Farmers Unity Private Limited

We are based over here at House No 5 in Ward No V/23, right by the Ambalanada area in Annamanada Panchayat. It's a quiet part of Thrissur. Our group, Swasraya Innovative Farmers Unity Private Limited, started because a few of us local folks wanted to see if we could do things a bit differently with our crops. Farming in Kerala isn't always easy, especially with the weather changes lately, but having a group makes it feel a bit more manageable. We spend most of our mornings dealing with the dirt and seeing what new ideas actually work on the ground. Sometimes things don't go as planned, and a crop fails or the market prices drop, but that's just how it goes for people like us. Most of the people involved live nearby, so we see each other at the local shops or near the temple. We don't have a big office with fancy chairs or anything like that. It is mostly just a place where we keep our tools and meet up to talk about the next season. Being part of the Annamanada community is important to us since we all grew up around here. We just try to keep the soil healthy and keep ourselves busy. There isn't much more to it than hard work and staying together as a unit. If you walk past the panchayat office, you’re not too far from where we usually hang out and get the work done.
