We are right here in the neighborhood where we can see what’s happening in the fields every day. The office is pretty basic, just a few rooms where we keep our records and meet with the farmers. Kazhimbrom is a place where people know each other, so we get a lot of walk-ins. Someone might stop by just to ask about the weather or a price they heard in the market. We try to be helpful even if it’s not strictly business. The work is mostly about organizing and making sure everyone gets what they need. It’s not always smooth. Sometimes the internet is slow or a delivery gets delayed, and we have to scramble to fix it. We don't have a big corporate manual for those things. We just use our common sense and local knowledge. It’s a small team here, so everyone does a bit of everything. One day you might be filing papers and the next you’re out checking on a crop in the rain. We like the variety.
