Reservation Counter Staff

The reservation work happens here at Panthalingal House in Pannithadam. It is a bit of a busy spot because the phone is always ringing with people asking about seats and timings. Shejila manages a lot of the day-to-day stuff here. We are located in the Chiramanengad area of Thrissur, which is a nice part of Kerala to live in. People come to us when they need to figure out their travel plans. It can get a bit confusing with all the different dates and times, but we try to keep it straight. The house is usually full of papers and ledgers. It is not like a big corporate office in the city center. It is more of a local operation where we know the people calling us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to get back on the system. That is just part of living here. We have the 680604 pin code for all our mail. It is practical work, nothing too fancy. We spend most of the morning answering queries. By the afternoon, we are usually checking the lists again to make sure no mistakes were made. It is a lot of looking at screens and talking. Chiramanengad is a quiet place otherwise. We just keep at it and make sure the reservations are handled. It is a steady way to spend the day in this part of Thrissur. We’ve been here for quite some time now and know the area well.
