Ollur Krishisamrudhi Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our little group is based over at Koramkuzhiyil House in Puthur. It’s basically just a house where we handle all the farmer producer stuff. Being in the Puthur area means we’re right in the middle of everything we need. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the land pretty well. Ollur Krishisamrudhi Farmers Producer Company Limited sounds like a long name, but to us, it’s just the group where we help each other out with our crops. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and rain and how the harvest is looking this year. It’s not always easy, especially when the market prices jump around or the bugs get into the plants. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. We just sit around at the house and figure out what needs doing for the next month. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once, but we manage. My neighbor usually drops by to help with the heavy lifting. We’re just a bunch of local farmers trying to make a living and keep the farms going. There’s a lot of manual labor involved, and our hands are rarely clean. It’s just how it is. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People in the village know where we are if they need to talk about their produce or join up with the company.
