We operate out of Ponthelavalappil House, which is located in the Madayikonam area of Irinjalakuda, within the Thrissur district of Kerala. This is our base for handling travel arrangements. The office is really just a part of the house, so it has a very personal and local feel to it. Madayikonam is a quiet post office area, and the pace of life here is a bit slower than in the bigger cities. We don't have a big marketing department or any of that. It’s just us sitting in a room with a few desks and some old fans to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking things on the computer. Since it’s a house, people sometimes just walk in and start chatting with us about their travel plans or even just the local news. We like that it’s not all formal and stiff. The building itself has been around for quite a few years and has that solid, lived-in feel. We try to keep things organized, but there are always stacks of paper and brochures lying around somewhere. Working in Irinjalakuda means we know our customers personally most of the time. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We just do our work, close up in the evening, and head home to our families nearby.
