Chalakudy Sampoorna Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are set up over at Kuttipuzha House in Kuttikad. It's a farmers producer company, which basically means we all work together on the crops and stuff. There's a lot of us involved. Being in Chalakudy helps because the soil is decent around here. We spend a lot of our time talking about what to plant next. It’s not a corporate office with suits; it’s more like a gathering spot where we figure out the logistics. Sometimes we have meetings on the porch. The Kuttikad area is where most of us live anyway. We deal with whatever the season gives us. If it rains too much, we worry. If it's dry, we worry too. That's just how it is when you work with the land. We handle the collection and the selling part as a group because it's easier that way. Nobody is trying to get rich quick here. We just want to make sure the farming stays viable for the families involved. There's plenty of paperwork to do, which none of us really like, but it’s part of being a proper company. We keep the records at the house. It gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up at once. You can find us pretty easily if you're in the neighborhood. We've been doing this for a while now and the routine is pretty set. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next harvest.
