Chalakudy Pravasi Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located in the Manjaly Building in Chalakudy, specifically in room XIV/684. Most of us in this company spent many years working away from home, mostly in the Gulf or other places, before coming back to Kerala to get back into farming. That is why we have "Pravasi" in our name. It reflects who we are. Coming back to the land after being away for so long is a big change, and we decided to do it together as a producer company. It helps with the transition and the technical side of things. Our office in Chalakudy is a modest place where we meet to discuss what we are planting and how to manage the different plots of land we have. It’s often a bit noisy because of the traffic outside the building, but we get our work done. We talk about the things we learned abroad and how we can use that knowledge here, but mostly we just focus on the local soil. Farming has its ups and downs, and being a group makes the down times a little easier to handle. We are not some big company with a lot of money; we are just a bunch of returnees trying to make an honest living from the earth. There is always someone at the office if you need to talk about seeds or local harvests. We just take it one season at a time and try to keep moving forward without overcomplicating things.
