Anthikad Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group, Anthikad Farmer Producer Company Limited, is right in the heart of Anthikad. We are based out of the Anthikad Farmer Producer Organisation building near the P.O. This is a big farming area, and we have a lot of local people involved in the collective. We don't have any big corporate backers, just the farmers themselves who decided it was better to work together. The office is usually a bit of a hub for activity, especially in the mornings when everyone is planning their day. We deal with everything from getting the right fertilizers to figuring out how to transport the vegetables or grain. It’s a lot of coordination, and sometimes it doesn't go perfectly, but we are all learning as we go. The people here have been tilling the soil for generations, so we have plenty of experience with the land, if not always with the business side of things. We use the space at the P.O. Anthikad to keep our records and meet up. It’s a simple setup with a couple of desks and some chairs where we can sit and talk about the prices in the market. We are just trying to keep the farming tradition alive here in Anthikad while making sure everyone gets a bit of profit for their hard work. It is a local effort through and through, and we take it one day at a time. It’s not always easy, but it is our way.
