True Stone

True Stone is tucked away in the Ambalamukku area of Peroorkkada. We’ve been operating from this location for quite some time now. It’s a local spot where we keep our collection of different stones. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning or bright lights. It’s mostly just an open area where the slabs are lined up. You have to walk around and see them in the natural light to really know what they look like. Peroorkkada is a nice place to work, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the residents. We aren't salespeople. If someone walks in, we let them look around at their own pace. We’re usually busy in the back anyway, either cleaning or moving things with the crane. It can be a dangerous job if you aren't paying attention, so we stay focused on the task. Stone is heavy and it doesn't forgive mistakes. We’ve had days where everything goes right and days where a machine breaks down and we’re stuck. That’s just how it is. We don't try to hide the messy parts of the business. The yard is often a bit cluttered, and there’s always some noise from the cutting. We like the honesty of the material. It is what it is, and we are just the people who help you get it from our yard to your house. We've seen a lot of changes in Peroorkkada over the years, but stone remains a constant for us.
