Crystal Marble Palace

Crystal Marble Palace is located in Nedumangadu, very close to the bus stand. Because we are near the bus station, there is always a lot of movement nearby. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It’s a bit noisy, but we are used to it by now. The shop itself is full of stone. We have marble from different areas and it’s all stacked up. People who are waiting for their bus sometimes wander in just to see what we have. We don't mind. It’s a good way to pass the time. The work is mostly manual. We load the pieces onto small carts or trucks. It takes a toll on the hands, but that’s the nature of the trade. We don't use any fancy words to describe the stone. It’s just marble. Some is better for floors, some for counters. We tell people what we know from years of handling it. The floors in the shop are never really clean because of all the foot traffic and the stone dust. We just sweep at the end of the day. It’s a practical place for practical people. If you need stone, you come here, look at the stacks, and pick what you like. We help you get it loaded. That’s the whole process. It’s been working for us for quite a while now. We don't see any reason to change.
