K. P. Granite Industries. We are located at Tc No-36/999. The place is called Sri Santh. It’s on Sukumaraan Nair Road in Perunthanni. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time. We have a lot of granite slabs stacked up. They come in different colors and sizes. Moving them is the hardest part of the job. You need a steady hand and some good boots. Our office is just a small corner with a desk and a couple of chairs. It’s a bit dusty because of the stone cutting. Perunthanni is a nice area to work in. We see the same people walking by every day. Sometimes we have to leave the slabs out near the road for a bit when the truck is coming. We try to be quick about it. The work is physical and tiring. By the end of the day, we’re pretty worn out. We don’t have any fancy brochures. People just come and look at the actual stone. That’s the best way to see it anyway. We have a small tap outside to wash our hands. The stone feels cool even when it’s hot out. We just do our bit and keep the yard tidy as best we can. It’s a simple life, dealing with stone every day on Sukumaraan Nair Road. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much since we first opened up the yard for business.
