Somatheeram Resort, Trivandrum

Our place, Somatheeram Resort, is located at Kaliyalvar House in Kulathoor. We are near Uchakada P.O in Thiruvananthapuram. It is a bit of a drive out here, but that is part of why we like it. The air feels a little different than it does in the city center. We spend a lot of time outdoors or near the windows because the scenery around this part of Trivandrum is actually pretty nice. The team here is mostly local folks from the surrounding villages. We don't really do the whole corporate office vibe. It is more about the daily chores and keeping the grounds looking okay. Some days the rain is heavy, and we have to move fast to keep everything dry. Other days are just hot. We have been at this location for a good while now. People find us when they need a break from the noise of the bigger towns. We aren't trying to win any awards; we just want to make sure the place stays running smoothly. Thiruvananthapuram is a big area, but out here in Kulathoor, it feels smaller and more manageable. We’ve got our own way of doing things, and it seems to work out. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the work at hand. That’s us at Somatheeram Resort, just a regular group of people working by the coast. We have been here for years.
