Select Travel Centre Iata

Our office, Select Travel Centre Iata, is located at Vilayil in Mangalapuram, near the Thonnakkal post office in Trivandrum. It’s a fairly straightforward place. We don’t have any big neon signs or anything like that. There’s just a small board outside so you know you’re at the right house. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of paper. Even with everything going digital, we still find ourselves printing out itineraries and stapling them together for people who prefer having something they can hold. The room is a bit small, so if three or four people come in at once, it gets crowded pretty fast. We have an old ceiling fan that squeaks a little on the high setting, but it keeps us cool while we work on the IATA bookings. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or folks from the next village over. We spend our days looking at flight screens and trying to figure out the best connections. It’s a lot of detail work. Sometimes we have to stay late to deal with time zone differences for international flights. We don't have a fancy uniform; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day at the desk. It’s a quiet life here in Mangalapuram, and we like the pace of it. We just focus on getting the tickets right and making sure everyone has their paperwork ready.
