Geethalayam is our home base in Mudakkal, out near Venjaramoodu. It’s a bit of a drive to get here, but it’s a beautiful part of the Trivandrum district. We’re located in the Mylakkuzhy area. We spend our days talking about travel and looking at different destinations for people. The office is basically a room filled with maps, some old calendars, and a couple of computers that sometimes take their time to load. We don’t have a big storefront with neon lights. Instead, you just look for the house name and walk in. Most of our clients are people from the local neighborhood who want to visit family or go on a small trip. We sit down with them, have some tea, and look at the options. It’s a very relaxed way of doing business. We aren't trying to sell anyone anything they don't need. If a trip is too expensive, we tell them. If a place isn't worth visiting in the monsoon, we say that too. It’s about being helpful to the community we live in. We’ve been here for years, and we know the local bus routes and the best times to travel just as well as we know the international flights. It’s a small operation, but we take pride in doing it ourselves and keeping things honest for everyone who stops by.
