Poovar Island Resort

We are located at Podiyadi House in Thaliyal, which is under the Karamana Post in Trivandrum. Our pin code is 695002 here in Kerala, India. This isn't some big corporate headquarters. It’s just a house where we run our business, Poovar Island Resort. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time. Karamana is a place we know well, with its narrow streets and busy markets nearby. The house itself is older, and it has that smell of old wood and rain sometimes. We sit around the big table in the kitchen to discuss things most of the time. We don’t have a boardroom or anything like that. When things get busy, everyone chips in, whether it’s answering the phone or fixing a leaky tap. It’s a family-style operation. We don’t really follow a strict schedule. We start when the sun comes up and stop when the work is finished. Sometimes that means working late into the night. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most famous place around. We just want to do right by the people who come to us. We’ve had the same neighbors for decades, and they know us as the people from Podiyadi House. We keep things pretty low-key and don't make a big deal out of what we do. It’s just our way of life. Most days we are just busy keeping the grass cut and the rooms ready for folks.
