Hotel Udaya Samudra

Our spot is called Divine and it’s located in Vandithadam, right near Vellayani in Thiruvananthapuram. The pin code is 695522. We are pretty close to the water, which makes the air feel a bit different than in the middle of the city. Hotel Udaya Samudra has been around for a while, and the staff here mostly lives nearby. We don’t have a big corporate manual. We just know how we like things done. In the mornings, we check the rooms and make sure the kitchen is ready. It’s a lot of walking back and forth on the property. We get people coming in from all over Kerala and sometimes from further away. The building itself is just a regular hotel structure, nothing too crazy. We have some trees around that need trimming often. The sun can get really hot in the afternoons, so we usually find some shade then. We handle everything from the front desk to the laundry ourselves. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just provide a place for people to stay while they are visiting this part of Trivandrum. Most of us have worked here for years and we know each other's families. It's just a local business trying to do its part in the community. We just keep the place running as we can with the small crew we have.
