Hotel Relax Inn Maldives

Green Villa is where we stay and work. Watts Road is right here in Valiathura. It’s a busy place with the airport nearby. We’ve been here in Trivandrum for a while now. The name says Maldives but we are firmly rooted in Kerala. Usually, things are pretty quiet inside the gate even though the outside world is rushing by. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are tidy and the water is running right. It’s not always easy keeping a place like this up to date but we do what we can. Sometimes the weather gets really humid and we have to fix the fans or paint a wall that’s peeling. People stop by after their flights because we are so close to the landing strips. You can hear the planes sometimes. We usually sit out front in the evenings when it cools down a bit. It’s a family-run sort of feeling here. We don't have fancy uniforms or big desks. It is just a building on a road where we live and let people stay. Most of the neighbors know us by name. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a tea or a bit of help with their bags, one of us is around. Life moves along one day at a time here in Valiathura.
