Nirmala Bhavan Higher Secondary School

Our school is tucked away in Belhaven Gardens over in the Nanthancodu area. It’s a fairly quiet part of town compared to the main roads, which really helps when the windows are open during the afternoon lessons. We have the higher secondary kids here, so things can get a bit serious when the exams start getting closer. The building isn't brand new, and we are always patching something up or finding a new leak that needs attention. That’s just part of running an older school. We have a small yard where everyone gathers during the breaks, and it gets quite loud for those twenty minutes. Our office is usually full of stacks of paper and people coming in to ask about schedules or monthly fees. We try to keep it organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we are busy with admissions. Most people in the neighborhood know where we are because we’ve been in this exact spot for a long time. We don't spend money on big signs or loud advertisements. The locals just know the name Nirmala Bhavan. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the science labs have the right supplies for the week. It’s practical, everyday work. Sometimes the rain makes the garden a bit of a mess, but the trees look much nicer afterward. We just try to provide a decent place for the students to come and learn without a lot of extra fuss.
