Lecole Chempaka School

If you head over to Edavacode in the Sreekaryam area, you’ll find us tucked away. Lecole Chempaka School is sitting right there in Thiruvananthapuram, surrounded by a bit of greenery like most places in this part of town. The rain can be quite heavy here, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof doesn't leak and the courtyards don't get too muddy. It’s a quiet spot compared to the main city roads. We have kids coming in from all the nearby houses. The classrooms are simple. We have wooden chairs and blackboards that we use every single day. Our staff is mostly local people who have been with us for years. You won't find any high-tech gadgets in every corner, just the basics that a school needs to function. The morning air is usually fresh before the humidity kicks in. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day's schedule. Sometimes the neighborhood dogs wander near the gate, and the security guard has to shoo them away. It's a very grounded atmosphere. We don't really do much advertising because everyone in 695017 already knows where we are. We just open the gates, teach the lessons, and watch the kids grow up. It's a slow and steady process, and we like it that way. No big fuss, just a regular school day in Kerala.
