Lotus India Holidays

Our place is Puthupparambil House, located up in K. Chappathu. They call this area Heaven Valley, and it really is quite green and hilly here in the Idukki district. We handle holiday stuff, but we do it from our own home base. It’s a bit of a drive to get up here, but the air is much better than in the cities. We’ve lived here for years and decided to use our knowledge of the local spots to help people visiting. It’s not a big corporate setup. We have a simple desk and some maps spread out. Most of our days are spent answering emails or talking to people on the phone about the weather and the roads. Idukki can be tricky with the rain, so we always keep an eye on that. We don't have a big staff, just us and occasionally a neighbor who helps out. We know the hidden paths and the small places to eat that aren't on the main maps. It’s a slow life up here in the mountains. We like it that way. When someone asks for a holiday plan, we just tell them what we think is worth seeing. No fancy brochures or polished speeches. Just us sitting in our house in Heaven Valley, trying to make sure people have a decent trip while they are in our part of the world.
