Hotel Sea Face

Being out here on N.U.P. Beach Road in Kovalam means we deal with a lot of sand. It gets everywhere, even if we sweep the floors three times a day. Hotel Sea Face is just a regular place where people stay when they want to be near the water. You can smell the salt in the air as soon as you step outside. We’ve got some rooms that look out toward the ocean, and others that just look at the back wall or the street. It’s a mix. The staff here are mostly local guys who have lived in Kovalam their whole lives. We don't wear fancy uniforms. Usually, it’s just a shirt and trousers. We try to keep the place quiet, but the sound of the waves is always there in the background. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up when there’s a storm, and we just have to wait for it to come back. People come here to relax, I guess. We give them their room keys and let them be. The walk to the beach isn't long at all. We spend our mornings checking the linen and making sure the kitchen has enough eggs for breakfast. It’s a simple routine we’ve had for years. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us running a hotel on the beach road. We hope the weather stays clear for the guests, but we take it as it comes.
