We are located in Ooruttambalam, at a place called Puthuval Plavila Puthan Veedu. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say if you’re not from around here. Our hotel is set back in a spot that feels more like a home than a big business. We’ve been part of the Thiruvananthapuram landscape for a while, offering a place to stay for people visiting the local area. It’s a quiet neighborhood mostly. We have rooms that are simple and comfortable, nothing too over the top. My day usually starts with checking who is arriving and making sure everything is ready in the rooms. We don't have a giant staff; it’s just a few of us making sure things run smoothly. Sometimes we have to deal with plumbing issues or a light that won't stop flickering, just like in any other house. We try to treat everyone who stays here like a guest in our own home. Ooruttambalam is a nice, steady place to live and work. We aren't trying to be the biggest hotel in the world. We just want to be a reliable spot where you can get a good night's sleep without any fuss. People often find us by word of mouth. We appreciate the locals who recommend us to their relatives. It’s a decent way to make a living, and we enjoy meeting new faces every week. It’s the simple things that matter most when you’re traveling, and we try to keep that in mind every day we are open.
