Gopal'S Ayurvedic Beach Resort And Research Centre is situated right by Main Grove Beach in Kovalam. It is a place where we focus a lot on the traditional ways of doing things. Being so close to the water means you can always hear the waves, which is nice when you are trying to relax or get some treatments done. We have a research side to what we do as well, looking into old herbs and how they work. It is not like a big corporate hotel at all. It is more of a quiet spot where people come to get away from the noise of the city for a bit. The staff here mostly grew up around this part of Kerala, so they know the plants and the local customs very well. We spend a lot of time keeping the gardens tidy because that is where a lot of the herbs grow. Sometimes the sea breeze is quite strong, and you have to sweep the sand off the porch every morning. The rooms are simple and clean, just what you need for a stay at the beach. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the treatments and the peace and quiet. Most of our guests find us through word of mouth or because they have been coming to Kovalam for years. It is a slow-paced life here, and we like it that way.
