Best Western Swagath Holiday Resort

Down here in Kovalam, things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We are the Best Western Swagath Holiday Resort. We aren't right on top of the water, but you can feel the sea air easily enough. The humidity is usually pretty high, so we spend a lot of time making sure the rooms feel fresh and the air conditioning is doing its job. Kovalam has changed a lot over the years, but we try to keep things grounded. Our staff is mostly local people who have lived in Kerala their whole lives. We don't have a big handbook on how to talk to guests; we just treat people like they’re visiting our town. The grounds have some plants and trees that we try to keep green, which isn't too hard with the rain we get. Sometimes the salt from the ocean makes things age a bit faster, so there is always a bit of painting or cleaning to do somewhere on the property. We don't have a fancy gym or a massive cinema room. We just have a place for you to sit, sleep, and maybe have a meal before you go out to the beach or the shops. It’s a simple setup. If you're looking for something that feels real and not like a plastic box, we’re here. We just do our work and hope the weather stays nice for everyone.
