Airindia

Our office for Airindia is tucked away in Mg. Nagar here in Thiruvananthapuram. It isn't a big glass tower or anything fancy, just a regular house that we use for our daily operations. We handle a lot of the local paperwork and customer queries that come through this part of Kerala. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so you see kids playing in the street and people heading to the market while we are working inside. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the windows shut and the fans on high. Inside, it is full of desks, old computers, and stacks of boarding pass paper. We have been in this location for a good while, and most of the people living nearby know who we are. It’s a bit different from working at the actual airport because it is much quieter here. We don't have hundreds of passengers rushing around, just a few people coming in to fix a booking or ask about a flight. Sometimes we have tea together in the small kitchen in the back. It’s a very human way to work, without all the corporate stress you might find in a bigger city. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things moving as best as we can. It’s a simple house for a big name, but it works for us.
