Vishnuji Ki Rasoi

We’ve got our place, Vishnuji Ki Rasoi, located at Silver Lawn on Ghodbunder Road in Thane West. It’s right next to the CNG pump station at Owala Naka, so it’s easy to find if you’re driving that way. The whole idea was to have a big open kitchen where people could see what was happening. It’s not a fancy air-conditioned place with waiters in suits. We have fans and open sides to let the air in. We serve Maharashtrian food, mostly the stuff you’d find in a village kitchen. We use big iron pans and heavy pots to cook everything. The seating is just simple benches and tables because we want people to feel comfortable and not worry about being too formal. It gets really busy on the weekends, and you’ll often see a crowd of people waiting outside for a spot. We don't do fancy reservations; it’s first come, first served. The kitchen is always buzzing with activity, and it can get a bit loud with all the cooking and talking. We get a lot of families coming in, and we like seeing the kids running around a bit. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on getting the spices right and making sure the food is hot when it hits the table. It’s a simple life for us here on G B Road, and we’re happy to serve anyone who stops by.
