Vikas Kitchen

Vikas Kitchen is located over at Shop 263 in the Shiv Pooja Society in Dombivli East. We have been here for a while now, right in the middle of Gandhi Nagar. If you know where Tarte Plaza is, we are just opposite that. It is a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We spend most of our mornings getting the stove going and prepping whatever we need for the day. My cousin and I run the place mostly, and we just try to keep things organized. It gets a bit cramped in the shop sometimes, especially when the orders start coming in all at once, but we make it work. The society is usually quiet in the afternoons, which is nice. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights, just the shop number on the door. People from around Thane come by, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of them over the years. It is not like those big food chains you see in the malls. It is just a small local kitchen where we do all the work ourselves. Sometimes the delivery guys have a bit of trouble finding the exact shop in the society, but once they see the sign, they are good. We just keep our heads down and focus on the cooking. It is a lot of work, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood a lot in Dombivli East.
