You can find us at Unit 40 in the Mahavir Bhakti housing society, specifically Plot No 93 in Sector-15 of Kopar Khairne. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a distribution company, being part of a residential complex, but it works for us. Variety Food Products has been run from this unit for several years. We have a lot of crates and boxes coming in and out all day. The neighbors are used to seeing our delivery vans parked nearby. It’s a tight space, so we have to be really organized to make sure we know where everything is. We don't have a big fancy warehouse with robots or anything like that. It’s mostly just us lifting boxes and checking lists manually. The office part is just a couple of desks shoved into the corner with a computer that’s seen better days. We handle a lot of different food items, so there’s always something new being loaded onto the trucks. It gets a bit hectic around the holidays when everyone wants their orders at the same time. We don't really have a boss who sits in a separate office; we all just pitch in where needed. Sometimes we sit on the steps outside for a break when the weather is nice. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy and keep the food moving to where it needs to go. We just keep at it until the last delivery is done.
