Cafe Alif

Cafe Alif is located right at Shop No 1/2 on S V Road in Jogeshwari West. We are at the Behram Baug Corner, pretty much across from the Ramshyam building and the HDFC Bank. It is a very busy spot in Mumbai, so there is always something going on outside our door. The 400102 area is never quiet. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The cafe is a bit of a landmark for people living in Ayesha Tower or nearby. It’s a straightforward place. We serve food that people know and like. There is nothing fancy about our menu. We just use what we can get fresh each day. The space inside is a bit tight, especially during the evening when everyone is out and about. You might have to share a table if it gets really crowded, but that’s just how it works in this part of town. Our staff is mostly local guys who know the neighborhood well. We don't have a fancy website or a big social media thing. We just rely on people walking by and seeing the food. Sometimes we run out of things if it's a particularly busy afternoon. It happens. We just try to keep the kitchen clean and the customers fed. It's a busy life on S V Road, and we're just glad to be a part of it.
