Cantonese Chinese Cuisine

Our little place, Cantonese Chinese Cuisine, is over in Naupada at Shop number 10 in the Ratnamani Society. We are right on Dada Patil Wadi Road, which stays busy because it's right opposite Platform Number 01 of the Thane West station. You can hear the trains all day long and the sound of the commuters rushing past the door. The shop isn't very big, so things are a bit tight inside. We have a few tables and the kitchen area where we cook up whatever people order. Most of our regulars are people living in the society or folks who are just getting off the train and don't want to cook at home. We don't have any fancy decorations or a big sign. It’s just a simple neighborhood spot. The floor gets a bit worn down from all the feet walking in and out. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and making sure the stove is hot. Sometimes it’s just one or two of us working here, so if it gets crowded, people have to wait a little bit. We don't mind the noise from the station anymore, it’s just part of our day. We’ve been here in Thane West for a while, just serving basic food to the local crowd. It’s a plain, honest kind of life. We close up when the train traffic slows down at night and start all over the next morning.
