The Yellow Chilli Restaurant

Our restaurant is inside Viviana Mall on the second floor. If you are driving on the Eastern Express Highway, you probably know the spot near Cadbury Junction. We are right there in Thane West, next to Jupiter Hospital. Being in a mall means we follow the mall hours, so we are here late every night. It is a different vibe than a street shop. We have to deal with mall security and all the foot traffic from people shopping. The kitchen is tucked in the back, and it is where most of the actual work happens. We have got a team of cooks who have been with us for a bit now. We spend our mornings getting the deliveries in through the service entrance and making sure everything is fresh. It is a lot of walking back and forth because the mall is huge. Sometimes the air conditioning in the mall is too cold, and sometimes it is not enough when the ovens are going. We just try to make sure the food is ready when people sit down after their shopping. We do not do anything too crazy with the decor; we just have our tables and chairs set up. It is a busy place, especially on Sundays when everyone in Thane seems to be at the mall. We are not trying to be the fanciest place around. We are just a restaurant in a convenient spot for families and people visiting the hospital next door.
