Tandoor Express

Our little place is tucked away in Shop Number 4 at Raghu Kuldeep. If you know Phadke Road in Dombivli East, you’ve probably walked past us a few times. We sit right opposite the IDBI bank, so we get a lot of people coming in after they finish their bank work or while they are shopping on this busy street. It is a tight space, but we make it work. The name Tandoor Express was chosen because people here are always in a hurry. They want to grab something quick and get back to their day. We spend most of our time standing by the hot ovens. It is hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we are used to it by now. The floor gets a bit messy during the lunch rush, and we are always grabbing a mop to keep it clean. We don't have a big menu with hundreds of items. We just do what we know how to do. The neighborhood is loud and full of life, and we are glad to be a small part of it. Most of our customers are locals who live in the apartments nearby. They know our names and we know theirs. It is just a normal shop where people come to eat. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just show up, light the fire, and start the day. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like the people around here.
