Star One Biryani Corner

We are at Shop No 6 in the Syndicate area on Murbad Road. Most people in Kalyan City know where the Janata Sahakari Bank is, and we are right near there. Star One Biryani Corner is basically a small kitchen with a few spots to sit. We focus on biryani because that’s what we know how to do. The pots are usually steaming by late morning. It’s a busy street, so there’s always noise and motorcycles zooming past. We don't have waiters in suits; it’s usually just us handing over the plates or packing bags for take-away. The 421301 area is where we live and work. We don't use fancy ingredients from far away, just what we get at the local market every morning. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff before the day is over, which is just how it goes. The shop is small and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the stove works fine. People stop by on their way home from work to grab a meal for their families. It gets hot in the kitchen, especially in the afternoons, but we’re used to it. We aren't trying to be a big restaurant chain. We just want to serve a decent plate of food to our neighbors here in Thane. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night.
