Shubdum Chinese Corner

We are located in Kopri Colony, which is on the East side of Thane. Specifically, Shubdum Chinese Corner is near the Fire Brigade, right across from Gautam Arcade. It’s a small place, mostly just a kitchen and a few spots for people to stand or sit. Thane East is always moving, and Kopri has its own rhythm. We usually get the most people in the evenings after they get off the train. The sound of the woks hitting the burners is something you hear all night long. It gets smoky and hot, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a big menu or anything fancy. It’s just the usual stuff that people like. We are just a local crew, mostly just guys who know how to work the fire. Dealing with the crowd near More Baug can be a bit much on Friday nights. We don’t use any special words to describe ourselves. We’re just a Chinese corner on a corner in Thane. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting around, and it gets a bit cramped inside. We just keep cooking. The neighborhood knows us, and we know the neighborhood. It’s not about being the best or anything, just about being open when people are hungry. We’ve been here for a bit, watching the traffic go by Gautam Arcade. It’s just our daily routine and we are fine with that.
