Shree Swami Samartha Masale

You can find Shree Swami Samartha Masale in the Safalya Building at Plot No-25. We are located in Shani Vadi, which is just off Krishna Road. It’s a decent area, and we have been here long enough that the smell of our spices has probably soaked into the walls. We spend our days roasting and grinding different spices to make our blends. It’s dusty work and sometimes the chili powder makes everyone sneeze, but that is just how it goes in this business. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. Our work happens right in the back rooms where the machines are. My family helps out with the packing and the sales. We see a lot of the same people every week who come by to stock up for their kitchens. We don't do much in the way of fancy branding; the spices speak for themselves once people use them in their food. It’s a very grounded way to work. We have to keep an eye on the quality of the whole spices we buy before we grind them. If the raw stuff isn't good, the final powder won't be either. We take pride in just doing a solid job and staying consistent. Shani Vadi is a quiet enough place for us to focus on our tasks without too many distractions. It’s our way of life and we’re used to it.
