Kanakia Spacies

You can find us in A-203 at the Akurly Shiv-Shakti society. We are right near the Shalinitai Hospital, which is a big landmark in this part of Lokhandwala, Kandivali East. We go by Kanakia Spacies and we focus on the housing side of things. The office is basically a converted apartment, so it has a very homey feel to it, maybe a bit too much sometimes when we are all trying to work at once. There is always a lot of dust because of the road work on Mhada Road Number 2, so we are constantly cleaning our desks. We have blueprints spread out on the dining table we use as a workspace. It’s a busy life. People come in to ask about flat prices or to complain about something at a site, and we listen and try to help. We are not a corporate office with a receptionist; you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. We have a lot of files from over the years, and some of the drawers are a bit stuck. It’s just how it is when you’ve been in one place for so long. We like the area because everything is close by, even if the traffic is a nightmare during peak hours. We just stay here and manage the building projects the best we can every day.
