Shree Chinese Corner

You’ll find our small shop, Shree Chinese Corner, at Shop Number 2 on Kalyan Road. We are right in the Tilak Nagar area of Dombivali East. It’s a busy corner, especially because we are so close to Kopardes Hospital and the Supriya Bar. Usually, the evening is when things really pick up for us. People coming home from work stop by to grab some noodles or fried rice. The smell of the ginger and garlic hits you as soon as you get close to the shop. It’s a small space, so most people just stand around or take their food to go. We have a couple of burners going all the time, and the sound of the spatulas hitting the woks is pretty constant. Being in Thane 421201 means dealing with a lot of people and sometimes a bit of rain during the monsoon, which makes the street quite muddy. We just keep our heads down and keep cooking. We aren't trying to be a five-star place, just a local spot where you can get a hot meal for a decent price. The hospital staff and families often come over, and we know most of the regular faces who live in the buildings nearby. It’s a simple business, just me and a helper making sure the food is served hot and fast to whoever walks up.
