Shawaya Dhaba

Our place is out on the Mumbai Nashik Highway in Yewai Village. We are at 204 B, not too far from the Adarsh Petrol Pump in Bhiwandi. Being on the highway means we see a lot of different people every day. Most of them are truck drivers who are tired from being on the road for hours, or families traveling between cities. It’s a dusty spot and the noise of the heavy vehicles is something you just live with. At Shawaya Dhaba, we focus on serving food that fills you up. It’s not fancy cooking, just the kind of stuff you want when you’ve been driving all day. We have plenty of space for parking, which is why a lot of the big rigs stop here. The kitchen is usually busy from early morning until late at night. We don't really have a closing time that stays the same, we just stay open as long as there are people who need to eat. The air is always thick with the smell of wood smoke and spices. My guys work hard to keep the tables clear and the food coming out hot. It’s a tough life out here on the highway, and we just try to provide a decent place for people to sit down for a bit. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the road change quite a bit over the years. We just try to keep things ready for whoever pulls in next.
