Satyam Memorial School

Our school is situated at Shop No 18 in the Chandresh Rivera complex. This is out on Kalyan Shil Road in the Nilje area. It’s a newer part of Thane and there’s a lot of construction going on around us. You can see the big apartment buildings from our door. We occupy a shop space which is common for small schools in this neighborhood. It’s not a traditional school building with a big yard, but we have our classrooms set up inside. The kids come from the nearby housing complexes. Kalyan Shil Road gets very busy with trucks and cars, so it’s always a bit loud. We try to keep the place organized despite the dust from the road. Satyam Memorial School is a small operation. There’s just a few of us running the daily schedule. We handle the teaching and the administration all in the same few rooms. It gets a bit tight during the peak hours when parents come to pick up their children. We don’t have any polished brochures or big ads. People usually find out about us by walking past the shop or hearing from a neighbor in Nilje. It’s a straightforward place. We focus on the books and the lessons. Life in Thane is busy, so we just do our part here at the school every day. We hope the students get what they need from their time with us.
