Pawan Spices

Pawan Spices is located in Sarai Harkhu Village, right in the Badlapur Tehsil. Our place is actually quite close to the Sarai Harkhu Railway Station, so you can often hear the trains passing by throughout the day. We focus on spices, which is a big part of life here in the village. Most of our work is done by hand or with simple machines. We spend hours sorting through different seeds and pods to make sure everything is clean. It’s repetitive work, but we don’t mind it much. The rhythm of the village is slow, and we follow that same pace. Sometimes, travelers from the station stop by to see what we’re doing or to buy a small bag of spices to take with them. We don't have a big marketing budget or a sales team. We just rely on the quality of what we produce. The building we work in is old but sturdy, and it keeps the spices cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a few local families who help us with the harvesting and processing during the busy seasons. It’s a community effort more than anything else. We don't have any big dreams of becoming a huge corporation. We’re happy just being a part of Sarai Harkhu and providing something that people use in their cooking every single day. It’s a quiet, honest life for us here in the village.
