Patil Masala

Our place, Patil Masala, is located in Mathura Niwas over in Nalasopara West. We are in the Gass area, right near the Durga Mata Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us. It’s a bit of a crowded area but that’s just how Nalasopara is most days. We spend our days grinding and packing different kinds of masalas. The smell of spices is everywhere in the building, which some people might find strong, but we don't notice it anymore. We started this because we knew how to make the blends right. It is a family-run kind of thing, not a big company with many departments. Usually, you’ll find one of us at the counter while the others are in the back working the machines. It’s a bit noisy when the grinders are running, but that's part of the trade. We have many regulars who live nearby and just walk over when they run out of spices for their cooking. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just stick to our little spot near the hotel. Life here is simple and we keep busy with the orders. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the raw materials are late, but we manage. It’s just honest work in a busy part of town. We’ve been here for years and we know how things work.
