Open Table Restaurant

Being located in the Shreeram Shopping Center on MIDC Road means we deal with a lot of different sounds throughout the day. You have the students from Model College walking past in groups, and then there’s the heavy truck traffic from the industrial area nearby. It’s a busy part of Dombivli East, and our shop at number 10 A is right in the thick of it. The tables are arranged in rows that are a bit tight, but we wanted to make sure there was enough room for everyone who comes in during the lunch break. We spend a lot of our time just refilling water pitchers and making sure the napkins are stocked up. The floor is that old grey tile that never quite looks perfectly clean no matter how much you scrub it. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine of the kitchen and the counter. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just light a few candles and keep going until the generator kicks in. It’s not a glamorous way to spend the day, but it’s what we know. We don’t try to act like we’re something we aren’t. It’s just a restaurant near a college and some factories where people can sit down for twenty minutes and then get back to whatever they were doing. The sun hits the front window pretty hard in the late afternoon, making the whole place feel very warm.
