Maitri Restaurant & Bar

We’ve been running this place at Narayan Niwas for quite some time now. Being right on Station Road in Thane East means there is never a quiet moment. If you step out the front door, you’re looking right at the railway station, so we see a lot of people rushing to catch their trains or coming home after a long day in the city. Our shops are numbers 6 and 7. We have the restaurant side and the bar, and it’s a pretty simple setup. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a spot where you can sit down and have a meal or a drink. Sometimes the noise from the street is a bit much, especially with Anand Talkies being so close by, but you get used to it. It’s just how things are in this part of Thane. We know a lot of the regulars who stop in every evening. It’s mostly just us working here, trying to keep the tables clean and the food moving. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s a practical place for local people. Some days the rain leaks a little near the entrance, but we just put a bucket down and keep going. If you're looking for us, just look for the shops across from the station. We’re usually here from morning until late at night, just doing our thing.
