Lokhandwala Foundation School

Being located in Lokhandwala Township, we are right in the middle of a lot of residential buildings. Akurli Road gets pretty crowded in the mornings when school starts. Most of our students live right here in Kandivali East, so they just walk over or come by rickshaw. The school isn't some huge sprawling campus, but we make the most of the space we have. There are rows of classrooms and a play area that sees a lot of action during break time. People know us as the local school in the township. It's funny how you get used to the sounds of the neighborhood while trying to teach a lesson. Sometimes there's construction nearby or just the usual traffic hum. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and half-drunk cups of tea because we’re always busy with something. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It's just a place for kids to come, sit at their desks, and get through their books. We’ve seen a lot of kids grow up here, starting small and leaving much taller. It’s a steady routine. Mondays are always a bit slow, everyone getting back into the swing of things. By Friday, everyone is looking at the clock. It’s just how life is here. We focus on the daily tasks, making sure the bells ring on time and the hallways are mostly clear during class hours. The paint on the walls is a bit dull, but the energy is always high.
