If you take the walk down Church Road in Badlapur Ed, you’ll find us. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, especially when it’s raining hard like it usually does in this part of Thane. The school is a straightforward building, nothing that stands out too much from the other structures on the street. Inside, the rooms are fairly small, but we fit everyone in. We have the usual stuff like blackboards and rows of desks that always seem to get pushed out of line by the end of the day. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with stacks of papers and half-empty water bottles, but that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anyone to write fancy letters, so we just talk to the parents when they come by the gate. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been on this road for a while. Sometimes the street gets a bit muddy, and we have to spend the morning cleaning the floors after the kids come in. It’s not a perfect place, and there’s always something that needs fixing, like a leaky tap or a flickering light bulb. We just handle those things as they come up and try to keep the kids focused on their books. It’s just a regular neighborhood school for regular people trying to get things right.
