Kotwal High School

Kotwal High School is located on the ground floor of Sahakar Niwas. We take up units 160 and 161 on Jawahar Road No.02. Being in Goregaon West means there's always something happening outside our doors. It’s a pretty standard space for a school. We’ve got the classrooms set up and the staff is always busy with something or other. The location is convenient for most people living around 400104. We don't spend much time on decorations or looking fancy. We just focus on the teaching. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when the weather is bad. We’ve been in Sahakar Niwas for quite a bit. People know where to find us if they need to talk about their kids' grades or attendance. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a massive playground, but we make do with what we have on the ground floor. Most of our day is spent at the desks or talking to parents in the hallway. It’s a lot of paper shuffling and keeping the kids in line. We like being in this part of Goregaon. It feels like a real community. Every morning we open up the gates and get ready for the day ahead. There’s no big secret to how we run things. We just show up and do the job. We keep our heads down and work. We just try to keep the kids focused on their books and keep the noise down so we don't bother the neighbors too much.
