Karachi Restaurant

Ulhasnagar is always crowded, and Netaji Road is probably one of the busiest spots you can find. We are right there in the Jewellery Bazar on the ground floor. It's a loud area with people shouting and bikes zooming past all day long. Our restaurant has been part of Siru Chowk for a long time. The floors are old tile and we keep them scrubbed as best we can. We get a lot of shoppers who are tired from looking at gold and just want to sit down. My father started this place, and I’ve been working here since I was a teenager. We don't have a big menu. We just make the things we know how to make well. The tea is always brewing in the corner. In the afternoons, it gets very crowded and it’s hard to hear yourself think. We don't mind the noise, though. It’s just life in Thane. Sometimes the delivery guys are late because of the traffic, but that’s just how the neighborhood is. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We keep the doors open and the food ready. It’s a lot of hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We like seeing the regulars who have been coming here for twenty years. It feels like home even when it’s chaotic. It is just a part of the daily grind.
