Indiana Water Restaurant

Indiana Water Restaurant is up on the 4th floor of Korum Mall. You have to take the elevator or the escalator up. The mall is on Mangal Pandey Road in Thane West, near the old Cadbury compound. It’s a very modern area of Thane, and the mall is usually full of people, especially on the weekends. We have a view of the other shops from our entrance. The inside of the restaurant is set up to handle the mall crowd. We have rows of tables and a kitchen that stays busy from the time the mall opens until it closes at night. The air conditioning is always running because the mall gets quite warm with all the people walking around. Sometimes there is music playing from the mall speakers outside, but we have our own atmosphere inside. The staff wears uniforms that have seen a lot of shifts. We spend a lot of time wiping down menus because they get sticky from the kids. It’s a 400601 zip code location, so we see a lot of local families. Working in a mall means everything has to be fast. We don't have much space for storage, so deliveries come in early every morning. It’s a practical place to eat when you are tired of shopping. The kitchen is visible through a small window, so you can see the cooks moving around. We have a lot of high chairs for families with small kids. The floor is made of polished stone that gets slippery if someone spills a drink, so we have to be quick with the mop. The mall security guards often stop by for a quick bite during their break. We have a menu board near the door that we update with a marker. It’s a bit messy, but people can read it. We’ve been in Korum Mall since it opened, more or less.
