Gauri Food Corner

This little food corner is located in Thane West, specifically at shop number five in the Dharod Building. We are in the Charai area, right across from Shraddha Parlour. I have lived in this part of Thane for a long time, and I know almost everyone on this street. The shop is quite small, so most people just stand outside or take their food to go. We do not have much room for tables. I do most of the cooking myself on a small stove in the back. My wife helps with the packing and talking to the customers. We make simple snacks and small meals that people can eat quickly. It gets very busy in the evenings when people are coming back from the railway station. The noise from the street is always there, with horns honking and people chatting. The 400601 zip code is a crowded place, but we like it that way. We use ingredients we buy from the market every morning. If we run out of something, that is it for the day. We do not have a big staff, just us and one boy who helps with the cleaning. It is a lot of work and our hands are always busy, but it is a good business. People in Charai know they can get something hot to eat at our counter. We stay open until about ten at night most days.
