Brighton World School

Being part of the S.S.P.M S Educational Complex on Yogidham Road means there is always something going on around here. We are situated in Kalyan City, which is a busy part of the Mumbai outskirts. It can be quite a commute for some, but for the families living around Yogidham, we are right in the neighborhood. The school building is part of a larger area where other educational stuff happens too. We aren't trying to be the most expensive or flashiest school in Mumbai. We just have our classrooms and our staff. Every morning the kids come in from all parts of Kalyan. Some walk, some come by rickshaw. We spend our time working through the syllabus and making sure the exams are handled. It’s a lot of paperwork and organizing, to be honest. Our staff rooms are usually full of books and tea cups. We don’t have a fancy website with professional photos. What you see when you walk through the gates is what you get. It’s a practical place. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times this year, and the playground needs a bit of paint, but the learning doesn’t stop. Parents come to us because they live nearby and they want a school that is steady. We just try to keep things grounded and focus on the daily lessons. There are no grand promises here, just people working to keep a school running for the kids in Kalyan City.
